Bits and pieces at the end of the year. . .

"Just being alive is such a gift, but nobody ever told you to be thankful for existence." - Osho

Well, the last two weeks seem to have slipped by without me visiting here.

I had ventured out and took photos of the frost on the web I could see from my window...

... and snapped a few shots of the lovely flock of long tailed tits that regularly visit the feeder. They are such lovely little birds. I can't believe I never even knew they existed until they started visiting here about a year ago.

Then the weather changed, the icy cold gave way to rain and I forgot to post the pictures here.

"It’s good to leave each day behind, like flowing water, free of sadness.
Yesterday is gone and its tale told. Today new seeds are growing." - Rumi

A couple of days ago, I picked up my camera again and I took some more photos indoors.
A mish mash of images - but some good messages and vibes! :-) I thought I'd include some here. . .

I wish you plenty of...

And always remember...

 "We become extraordinary
when we realize how extraordinary
our existence is." - Anis Mojgan

Don't forget to...

"The secret of health for both mind and body
is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future,
but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly."
- Siddhartha Gautama

and take time to centre yourself and get in touch with your soul. . .

Thanks all of you for your visits and great comments, I really appreciate it.

Have a wonderful year ahead.

Thought of the week
"Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it,  all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember that you are half water. If you can’t go through an obstacle,  go around it. Water does." - Margaret Wood

A Visitor To My Window Ledge . . .

"How do I integrate spirituality into my everyday life? Throw out the concept of “spiritual life” and “everyday life.” There is only life, undivided and whole." - Adyashanti

There are those of you that may remember Sammy's previous encounter with a squirrel visitor. (If you didn't see it at the time the pictures are well worth a visit.)

Well this week, the squirrel visitor to my garden found the bird table empty. . .

 Sammy had him spotted!

And after finding no treats in the garden, the squirrel came to the window to let me know!

He was a lovely little fella!

...and totally unphased by me taking photos on the other side of the window.

(This was another time when my photos would have been better if my windows had been clean. :-))

“Paradise is not a place but a condition,
a simple being-alive, a drinking straight from the spring.”
- Scott Russell Sanders

I went out and stocked up the bird table after he had gone. :-)

I hope you've all had a good week.

Thought of the week
"Listen to the mustn’ts, child. Listen to the don’ts.
Listen to the shouldn’ts, the impossibles, the won’ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me…
Anything can happen, child. Anything can be."

Winter Walking - and the thoughts it brings . . .

Yesterday, we went for a walk around the village and I picked up my camera for the first time in ages. And in the crisp cold air of a new December, I realised how much I had missed sharing things here. So tentatively, slowly, I am venturing back into this space...

I hope all is well in your world.
